I call them smileys or smiley faces. You might call them emoticons. We are both right. Smileys or emoticons are an easy and free way to express your feelings online. Smileys started out as simple typed characters, like :). These days you can get all kinds of awesome smileys, including 3D smileys, animated smileys and talking smileys, and with thousands to choose from, you won't be disappointed. You can use your new smileys on MSN spaces, MySpace, Facebook, blogs, email, IM, and other place too. But, with all those sites offering free smileys, and there are a lot, how to you pick the right one?

Don't worry, I can help you. Smiley Central, CrawlerSmileys, or FreezeSmileys are you best bets for your free smileys downloads. They are all good, but each is a bit different. I prefer SmileyCentral, but that's just me. Since they are free, there is nothing to stop you from checking them all and keeping the one you like. Here's what I suggest: Pick the one that strikes you. Not right for you? Try another (maybe bookmark this page so you can back here). Not difficult. Here they are, have fun!

Smiley Central is probably the oldest and most popular. To download your smileys from Smiley Central click here, or on this lovely pic.

Next is the Crawler Smiley Toolbar. As I mentioned above, there is no telling which you will like. To get your smileys from Crawler Smiley click here, or click on the pic.

Last, but not least, are emoticons from Freeze.com. You guessed it, you can get your smileys from Freeze.com by clicking here, or there.

Did I say three? Well here is one more I just found out about, that looks a little different. It's from the folks who brought you SmileyCentral. Check this out! With Smiley Creator, you can actually customize your own Smileys. Reminds me of Mr. Potato Head. Sweet!

If you are interested in how this works, or want to make some money from your site, blog, or whatever, check out The Affiliate Program at Neverblue Network (also free). (I also get a commission if you make money with Neverblue, so it's all good.)
